Position: Personal Insurance Director

Ms. Polka is a 2000 graduate of Redbank Valley High School. Shannon joined Charles Leach in November 2012 as the Operations Assistant. She acquired her Property & Casualty license in 2013 and began working with the personal lines department. In 2016 she also received her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.

Shannon had worked at 84 Lumber in Clarion as an Office Coordinator, New Era Building Systems, finishing drywall and at Joe’s Pizza in New Bethlehem as a waitress. She is also a member of the First Baptist Church in New Bethlehem.

Ms. Polka also enjoys being outdoors, hunting, attending her children’s sporting events and spending time with family and friends.

She resides in Mayport with her daughter Paytin, son Owen and fiancé John.

Why do you work at Leach?

“When I started here in 2012 I knew absolutely nothing about insurance, why we have it, what it does for you. After working here for a while and getting licensed I started to do more and more with the insurance policies themselves, all of the staff was very helpful and were behind you, making you feel comfortable enough to ask questions and keep moving forward.“

What is the best part of working with clients?

“When meeting a potential new client, I like getting to know their lifestyle and family, that really helps me figure out what type of coverage they need. Then I can supply them with the knowledge of what they currently have vs. what they should maybe be doing differently, whether I have the best fit for them or not.”
