Edward Goth, CIC, EMT

Insurance Area: Commercial
Position: Fire & EMS Specialist

Ed Goth started working with Charles Leach in 1987. In 1996, he became a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) by taking and passing a series of 5 tests in 5 different areas of the insurance industry. Because of Ed’s background, an opportunity became available for him to take over and manage the Emergency Services Organizations (ESO) currently insured with Charles Leach.

Ed’s Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) career has spanned more than 25 years. Starting off in the volunteer ranks, he moved to a part-time position with a paid service when the local service transferred ownership. Still wanting to give back to the community he joined the local volunteer fire company where he has served his station by holding the offices of Safety Officer, President, and currently serves as the Treasurer and 1st Lt. Ed is also active in the local emergency management of New Bethlehem Borough and serves as its Emergency Management Coordinator.

Ed’s background in the Property and Casualty Insurance; and Life, Accident and Health Insurance. Combined with his ESO background, this allows him to understand the needs of his clients and provide them with the best coverage available. Ed’s involvement and experience within the emergency services gives him a unique perspective when providing insurance protection to his clients. As a First Responder himself he not only knows the equipment but also the risks that come with the job.

Ed lives in New Bethlehem with his wife Lisa.
